What sucked

A city chapter of a global peer network for business owners has more than 100 members who join mainly for connections.

Its earlier one-on-one introduction program left all the coordination to members: scheduling, writing the first message and working out why they'd been paired. Members found it too demanding. The underlying problem was knowing who to connect and when across businesses at different stages while respecting members' time and data, and the board's first concern was whether every member's privacy could be guaranteed.
