The client, a bootstrapped AI company led by a product founder, had a proof of concept and no engineering team to turn it into software real users could depend on.
While generative AI made writing code trivial, shipping working software remained broken for non-technical founders and early product teams. Teams would describe an idea to an AI coding assistant, receive thousands of lines of code, and then hit a wall at deployment. The generated code often contained hallucinated package imports, conflicting dependency trees, and syntax errors that failed during the build step. Non-technical users also had no easy way to provision GitHub repositories, configure cloud hosting, or safely store environment variables and API keys. The project was triggered by seeing promising software concepts abandoned because existing AI tools stopped at generating code in a chat window. No tool took responsibility for verifying that the application actually compiled, functioned, and deployed cleanly to a live URL.
Kaprin built a self-healing delivery pipeline on Claude: a two-pass generator designs the architecture and then the features, a background worker compiles the app and feeds errors back for targeted patches, and passing builds are pushed to the user's GitHub and deployed to a live URL.
