4GW of renewables across 14 offshore-wind and solar sites was losing roughly £12M a year to imbalance charges in the GB electricity market.
Its statistical forecasting model reached only 82% accuracy, and the 30-minute settlement cycle penalized every deviation, worst during high-price winter-evening, low-wind periods.
Dextra Labs built three autonomous agents orchestrated via Claude Code: a Weather-to-Wire forecasting agent fusing satellite, numerical-weather and turbine SCADA data; a market-position agent optimizing declared positions against real-time EPEX/N2EX pricing; and a dispatch agent issuing curtailment and battery commands across 14 battery management systems.
Annual imbalance charges fell from £12M to £3.2M
Four-hour-horizon forecast accuracy, up from 82%
Optimized dispatch generated £8.4M in additional revenue
