What sucked
A six-person team at a $35B real estate investment manager was paying $12,000 a year for a third-party due-diligence questionnaire platform.
They needed to find and reuse answers, compare responses year over year, and check consistency across a portfolio of more than 20 funds.
What they built
I used AI-assisted coding to build a custom Azure web app in approximately 10 hours. It provides a searchable DDQ answer library, year-over-year comparisons, and tools to check answer consistency across funds. The team now uses it in place of the previous platform, whose subscription was cancelled, saving approximately $12,000 annually, with negligible ongoing hosting and maintenance costs.
